docMIKE Tetrault Retires From Practice

This month docMIKE turns 65 years of age. Born in Canada in the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 27, 1952 he grew up with his family of 8 other siblings and both parents until his marriage at only 18 years of age to his high school sweetheart. Michel undertook his studies into chiropractic graduating Summa Cum Laude in 1979 from Life Chiropractic College. He retires from active practice after 38 years of service; 27 years in the United States and 11 years in the Philippines.

PANDEMIC UPDATE: With 14 clinics operational in the Philippines when the Corona virus epidemic hit the world in 2020, docMIKE returned to practice to cover the clinics that had lost a doctor when they returned to their country during the quarantine months. Who knew this would last two years or longer. Considering chiropractic is an essential service, docMIKE will continue to cover clinics as needed until enough doctors have rerurned to fill all the clinic assignments over this pandemic period.

docMIKE states he is just shifting his focus from practicing chiropractic onto the development of the chiropractic profession in Asia and in support of other pioneer chiropractors worldwide. He continues his work as Founder and Executive Director of the Chiropractic Diplomatic Corps, a non-profit based in Vancouver, Canada. There are ongoing projects in India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Russia and even in the United States.

The promotion of chiropractic education worldwide is the single most important work docMIKE will continue to promote. Until there are chiropractic colleges in every region and in every viable nation that can support the establishment of the profession, the CDC-Chiro will persevere in facilitating the key players in accomplishing this essential component for the sustainable development of the chiropractic profession.

Yes, in case you were wondering, docMIKE’s Blog will continue to be an outlet to educate the public about the value of personal responsibility for one’s health and to provide information, education and practical tools to help people accomplish that personal objective. You will still be able to look forward to further blogs as we enter the 4th year of the publication of docMIKE’s Blog.

Mabuhay Chiropractic Clinics has become the major provider of chiropractic services in the Philippines. Until there is a local chiropractic college training bright young Filipinos and Filipinas in this country, we will continue to import dedicated Doctors of Chiropractic to serve the Filipino people. We will then turn our focus on assisting new Pinoy graduates to accomplish successful practices throughout the nation.

A warm and pleasant thank you award for docMIKE’s years of service was presented to him during MCC’s 10th year Anniversary in SM City Bacoor just this past month.

docMIKE’s retirement is only the  means of re-tooling of his skills to serve the same vision of a better world through the benefits of chiropractic.
